March Madness

March 2014 was a rough month for me. A lot was going on and, on top of that, I truly began to focus on expanding my business. It has been a year and, contrary to how I thought things were going to turn out 12 months ago, I'm still standing. To celebrate, I'm giving away the Top Five DVD, the latest books from Eric Jerome Dickey and Melissa Kite, and products from Suave, Sarah Faith Organics, Savannah Bee Company, and Ambi, and the list is expanding! Stay posted for more details!

January/ February Love List

As we move into spring my hair and skin are not dry beyond repair, and I credit this fact to some amazing products that blew into my life this winter.

(From left to right, top to bottom)
Little Twig Baby Wash in Calming Lavender- As I get older, I find that I can no longer do the scented, tooty-fruity soaps. They make me itch. But I've found that baby soaps, like this one from Little Twig, work well for me. They still smell good but work well for sensitive skin.

Savannah Bee Company Royal Jelly Body Butter-  For those of you that love a thick body butter, this product is perfect. It smells amazing, and because a little dab will do you, I use it on my hands. It contains raw royal jelly, honey, and other natural ingredients to help cure dry skin.

Suki 2 Step Ultra- Soft Lip Kit- Lip balm is not enough for me in the winter. My lips get soo chapped! To help with this, Suki's Lip Kit includes an exfoliate and a balm to soften your puckers.

Oil Essentials in Sea Buckthorn Berry & Borage: My skin and hair respond well to oils, so I was excited to try this product from Oil Essentials. It can be used on your face, body, and hair. I used it on my body after I showered. This is another product that you only need a dab of, for it's very fragrant and moisturizing.

Kelapo Extra Virgin Coconut Oil- Again, I am an oil lover, and I have fallen for this coconut oil by Kelapo. Be warned, it is pricey, but it is great for super dry skin and twisting your hair.

Arganese Hair Treatment- Argan Oil has been trending for a while in the natural hair community. I wasn't for it. A different brand I'd tried had left my hair feeling brittle. However, finger coming my hair with Arganese while damp left my fro soft and gave it a natural sheen.

March marks the anniversary of me officially starting my own business. Follow me on Instagram @hollsthegreat for your chance to win products from Savannah Bee Company and Oil Essentials.

Spring Book List

I have made s goal to read 100 books this year. I am VERY behind on this goal, but below are a few of my favs thus far:

I Tried Until I Almost Died by Sandra McCollom
Sandra McCollom used to be a micromanager that set impossible goals for herself and family. Naturally, this caused tension between her and her loved ones and consistent disappointment. However, she was able to overcome this through faith and discusses it in her new book.

The Art Of Having It All by
                   Christy Whitman

Whether or not women can really have it all is a consistent debate, but mother, wife, and businesswoman Christy Whitman believes they can. Here Whitman, who used positive energy to bring happiness into her life, tells readers how to do the same.

The Art Of Not Having It All by
                        Melissa Kite
Melissa Kite is a British writer, yet I am surprised how much her life is so much like mine and the women I know! When she is not looking for a man that can literally fix her life, she's talking her way out of some trying and hillarous situations.
