Conversations With A Boy

So I am in NY staying with Tortilla and she had this guy over last night who I liked for a minute when I was in college. He is cute, but like a stuffed animal is cute or a fat baby. Any who, the convo was going well but somehow kept going back to my fear of doctors and the numerous cool ways I could die that are scary and painful. A couple of ailments could even leave me crippled for the rest of my life, incapable of moving or living life! So, that was fun...NOT! Sigh. It seems that the boys that aren't trying to ruin my life are trying to save.

Wash

A testament to my overall slackassery is the fact that I have not gone to the laundry mat in a month. I had made like 3 or 4 towel runs to Target because I didn't have clean towels to wash, and I have resorted to washing my leggings and my light knit tops in the sink. However, at this point today, toweless and legginged out, I have to go wash. Don't get me wrong, I usually look forward to washing. I like the feeling that I am getting things clean. What I don't like is the RIGGED washing machines at the local mat that cost way too much. The dryers take way too long to dry. But I am a slave to them, I have no other chose. The other laundry mat was burned to the ground when someone set fire to the Family Dollar (a whole nother post,lol). So, off to wash.

Hear No Evil

So, as you know, as atonement for Dreads, I had decided to never date again. But I don't know, I'm feeling a little shaky. There is a really cute guy that works at the drugstore up the street from my house. His name is Derek, but we will call him Hear No Evil, primarily because he has the words "Hear No" tatted on his ear. Get it? Lol. Here is what I know so far using my secret undercover investigative skills: he is 30, works at CVS, and has had the "Hear No" tat since he was 22. He would truly be classically handsome like Denzel or something if he didn't have the Wiz Khalifa body art thing going on. Either way, he is a cutie, and I feel like I want to pursue him. This will undoubtedly be yet another disaster in love, but I shall keep you posted.

PAC DIV "Top Down"

So, my obsession with Pac Div has not subsided. I am so ready for them to come back to Atlanta. I don't understand why they don't have more fans! I like pretty much all of their songs, and that is a rarity with music on my end. I found this video doing my usual weekly Pac Div Youtube search. Enjoy!

The Winn Wedding!

So Kinfolk and Amber tied the knot on Saturday! It was pretty amazing! There was everything from Karaoke to step routines, lol.  I have been excited to see them get hitched for so long, and now the wedding has come and gone. Not only did I get to see Haynes looking fab, but I also got to see the homies: Frances, Arika, Terlinda, Tiesha, and Asia. I also got see a lot of people from college who are doing well, which was good for my spirit to see. This wedding has me hyped on love! I'm ready for the next one!

So I got to meet Michael Ealy at his Rolling Out Mag event the day of the Think Like a Man premiere here in Atlanta. He is hella sweet and smells really good. Oh, and Ne-Yo was there too. It took everything in me not to ask him to sing something:)

The Strawberry Letter

So, Cinnamon told me casually as we were moving that once, Connie put strawberries up her vag because she didn't want me to eat them. Naturally, I threw up in my mouth because that ish is gross! I am also pissed because, seeing that this probably happened during my totally broke days, I am sure I ate one. The only thing keeping me from hating her is knowing that it is clear that something is probably mentally wrong with her. Seriously. Her ratchedness has taught me one thing though: to always wash my fruit!

Adventures in U-Haul Hunting

So, I am all moved in to the new apartment with Audra! But the move did not come easy. We did not reserve a U-Haul, which sent me, Ms. Evelyn, and Cinnamon on a little tour of South West Atlanta looking for one. Just in case you didn't know, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a U-Haul on the weekend with no reservation. We drove around parts of Atlanta I have NEVER seen before! Our adventures in U-Haul hunting sent us to a church and an African grocery store that sold fruit and bootleg African DVDs. Finally, after about six nos, we ended up having to go to a Home Depot to get a truck. Luckily, they didn't charge for mileage because they were like 50 miles from our new place. I will put up pics as soon as I clean up, lol.
