Back to Football Friday

Okay, so I am not the biggest fan of football, this is true. But I am a huge fan of fashion, and the Atlanta Falcons are asking that you show off your Falcon fashions to celebrate the beginning of the season. So put on your favorite Falcon's gear and submit their photos to either www.nfl.com/backtofootballfriday or Twitter (using hashtag #NFLFanRecord). It's a competition, the team with the most pics wins. Fan or no fan, let's help our team get on the right foot this season, fashionably!

The Terrible 29s 6: Savage Life

All this paper chasin' really has turned me to a savage.
Once upon a time, when I had a sad but livable income, I had hobbies. I liked to watch Netflix, shop online, and sleep.
There is no time to sleep now. When you are broke with bills and a broken NEW computer, trying to pave your way in life, there is no time for anything else but consistently looking for and carving out the next opportunity. And may I just say...IT IS EXHAUSTING and HARD.
I used to laugh a lot, but I really don't think anything can be funny again until I have become a complete success. I even forgot to volunteer last Saturday which hurts me deeply. I have been volunteering for the past 5 years every other Saturday with the same organization!
I'm getting forgetful, but until I can comfortably call myself a successful business woman/owner, I feel like everything but numbers and business plans is erased from my mind without permission.
Sigh, #savagelife #brokegirlsbelike #Imahustlaskaboutme

Butter Love: Nubian Heritage Shea Butter

As  you know, when it comes to my body (and for some reason, not my face) I have the driest skin ever! I am constantly experimenting with butters and lotions to find a product that I won't have to continue to apply throughout the day. Sigh, you have no idea how many times I have hydrated my skin from head to toe only to go out in public and find that my legs and hands are so dry that they look white! Then these three little butters by Nubian Heritage came into my life and saved it.
These butters are perfect. I don't know how else to explain them.
Goat's Milk and Chai: An earthy, deep, sweet aroma with a flaky consistency.
Honey and Black Seed Oil: A strong, natural smell of honey with a buttery consistency that melts into the skin,
Indian Hemp & Haitian Vetiver: Sweet, almost candy-like scent that is smooth and light on the skin.
The Goat's Milk and Chai was the oiliest one for me, so I will be using it in the colder months and when I get out of the pool. The other two are perfect all year long. All three are fragrant enough to wear not wear with added fragrances. The butters are also anti-inflammatory for those of you with sensitive skin. And, just incase you didn't know, Nubian Heritage has a whole collection of everything from soaps to lotions. You can find more out about them here.
