Get Your Twist on with Jane Carter Solution Curl Defining Cream

I have used a lot of products to twist my hair in the past. A few of my favorites have been the Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream, the Fro Butter with Peppermint Oil, and the All Natural Pudding Souffle from EDEN BodyWorks. However, my latest favorite product for twisting is the Jane Carter Curl Defining Cream.
I have read a lot of blog posts on Jane Carter Solution over the years, and they have a lot of fans that are in love with the products because they are 98% natural. I am a new fan of the Curl Defining Cream because it is light and it does not leave a residue on your hair. It also plays nice with other products because the cream is so light and it absorbs into the hair. I feel that this is great for spring and summer, because there is nothing worse than using a heavy product in the summer. And because it is absorbent, you don't have to worry about product dripping which we all can agree is not sexy.
Because the product is a curl defining cream, I find that my curls are very defined once I take my hair down, which helps my look last a little longer than usual. All us naturals know that that is greatly appreciated!

Me and Motions

I had not used Motions Hair Products since I used to get relaxers, so we will say it's been over 13 years. But I was very excited to try their For Natural Textures collection.

I washed my hair with the Moisturizing Cleanser and the Smoothing Conditioner then twisted my hair with the Hydrate My Curls Hair Pudding.

I love the smell of these products and the conditioner is thick. I detangled my hair with the conditioner in it while wet with my fingers then rinsed. After I let my hair air dry I applied the pudding and twisted my  hair into two strand twists. Stay tuned for the twist out post!

Review: Cantu Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque

So I was sent the Cantu Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque to try out and I was over the moon about it. I am very familiar with Cantu. I use their products to twist my hair. I had never done a hair masque before, so I treated it like a deep conditioner and as instructed. I lathered my hair in it. I couldn't help myself! It smells really good, and my hair had been kind of dry of late. Plus, my ends were doing that thing where they stick together:(

Now, the instructions say that you only have to leave it in for 30 minutes before washing it out. But it also states that you can treat it as a leave-in product. So, since I was familiar with the brand and felt safe with it, I left it in for like four hours.

The results: I am going to be real here: I only comb through my hair a couple of times a month. This is because, when I was combing through it daily, I felt like I was losing hair. So, more often than not, I detangle my hair by hand. And yes, this takes A LONG TIME usually. Using this, I don't think it took more than 30 minutes. The masque made my hair really manageable and soft. I will totally be using this product again. Stay tuned for the results of using this instead of the Cantu Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream to do my two-strand twists.
