Got That Purp

I have seen a few starlets wearing purple cosmetics and I have loved it! But I was a little scared to try it because at 30, I am not sure if purple anything on my face is appropriate. On the same hand, it is summer, and I wanted to wet my cosmetic whistle with a little something outside of my safe pinky/peachy/nude colors that I am accustomed to. Not So Dirty 30: Alzheimer's Itis

Anyone who says that they are not afraid of getting old is either lying or an idiot. If they are not afraid, they definitely should be.
This weekend, my grandmother turned 90-years-old. Growing up she as a vibrant, beautiful fashionista that loved to cook and go to the mall. We were very, very close. Now, because of Alzheimer's Disease, she has absolutely no earthly idea who I am. And at her nursing home, she is surrounded by people like her. Men and women who once had vibrant lives but now, for various reasons, can not tell you what day it is or who they are.
If this doesn't not scare you- waking up and not knowing who you or who your loved ones are- I can not understand where you are coming from. My guess is that you have not had someone close to you that you love lose it.
The other day I diagnosed myself with Alzheimer's Itis- a fake disease but a real issue. You see my great-grandfather had it and so does my granny. There is a good chance that my mom or aunts may as well as me or my siblings. This makes me afraid of the warning signs before I am even at an age where I would be at risk. What are the symptoms? If I forget anything, no matter how stupid or how long ago it happened, I panic. I find myself reciting random facts about my life to myself, just as my grandmother is consistently telling the nurses her name and birthday. I have to write everything down. I don't want to be put in a position where I could forget something which is cray, because naturally, you can not remember everything.
I don't think there is a cure for this, just a side effect of having a loved one that has been effected by the disease. Fingers crossed, God spares me from this.

1. As you know, I am pretty much lashless. On top of this, I have a supreme fear of falsies. I just don't get how they come off without ripping off skin or the lashes you do have. Thankful, I was sent Stretchex from Touch In Sol. I have tried TONS of mascara to try to create the illusion of a full set, and this works like a miracle! 2. I need a good body scrub like I need water. It's really sad. My elbows and knees get so rough that you would think that I went through life crawling on them. Not only does it smell and feel amazing on skin, it softened my rough skin, which believe me, is a tall order.

3. For some reason, the skin around my mouth is a little darker than the rest of my face! It is something that I have been obsessing about since the 6th grade, but I have never been into concealers or foundations to cover it up, primarily because I didn't know how to match the product with my complexion. 5. I can not stress this enough: my skin gets so dry and rough! It is my biggest beauty issue, and I am constantly on the look out for products that can keep my skin moisturized and soft. If you got to attend Full Figured Fashion Week, I am so jealous! The 7th Annual Full Figured Fashion Week (FFFWeek®) recently wrapped up and it was a showcase of the latest in plus size fashion. It took place from June 14th through June 20th in NYC. The festivities included a Hawaiian luau, Curves at Sea White Cruise, featuring an Ashley Stewart runway show, musical performances by Queen of Gospel Energy Dawn Tallman, Impact Magazine's "Cocktails and Conversations with Gwen DeVoe", and the Celebrate My Size Expo, presented by FFFWeek® and PLUS.
